Copper can be removed to produce a higher grade Molybdenum concentrate
The CESL Molybdenum Cleaning Process
Copper can be selectively leached from molybdenum concentrates using the CESL Process. The result is a clean molybdenum concentrate and a copper solution ready to be integrated into the CESL copper plant.
The cleaned molybdenum concentrate reduces the costs associated with refining low-grade or high copper content concentrates.
Autoclave conditions are similar to those of the copper process, however, a much shorter retention time and higher solids density can be used.
The CESL molybdenum cleaning process would be used in conjunction with the CESL copper process or where there is a location to treat the leached copper.
